Even the residents of Russia are unlikely to be able to name about five to ten attractions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Meanwhile, in reality there are many more. The region is not considered as a tourist, but in vain. On its territory there are reserves, natural beauties, architectural monuments, museums and much more.

The specifics of the territory, weather conditions and national characteristics made this area interesting enough for a long trip. Throughout the trip, regardless of tastes, the tourist will have something to do and what to see. Such a vacation can be especially valuable for families with children, since most of the objects of the region are suitable for visits by the smallest researchers.

Pillars Preserve

It was founded in 1925. The total area is more than forty-two thousand hectares. Most of the territory is covered with fir taiga. Two and a half hundred species of moss and three times as many vascular plants grow here. Fauna typical of taiga. There are representatives of the animal world listed in the Red Book. In the reserve, locals and tourists are engaged in rock climbing and outdoor activities.

Zoo "Royev stream"

It was founded in 2000. The beginning of one of the largest zoos in the country was laid by the usual “living corner”. The inhabitants of the park are almost seven thousand animals, fish and birds. The collection is replenished through the purchase and exchange. The territory is divided into sections, according to the species of fauna. There are indoor aviaries, aquariums, winter houses. Rare individuals may well coexist with instances familiar to our perception.

Beaver Log Fan Park

It spreads over an area of ​​eighty hectares. The complex is fully dedicated to recreation and sports. At the same time, life does not stop here all year round. In summer: beach, carousels, picnics, horseback riding, and more. In winter: skiing, skating rink, walks among the snowy slopes. Downhill tracks are suitable for both beginners and pros. Equipment can be rented. Near restaurants and cafes for every taste and budget.

Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station

Built in 1963 and gradually put into operation. The largest building of its kind in the country. Platinum, inextricably linked to the station, is a large-scale construction, which has few analogues in the world. Local environmental conditions are ideal for the implementation of such a project. After the accident in 2009 at the hydroelectric station, the system of work changed, some of the leading elements were repaired and replaced.

Great Arctic Reserve

It was founded in 1993. The area exceeds four million hectares. The goal is the conservation of rare species and their natural habitat. Lichens, fungi and higher plants are represented by dozens of species. Representatives of the fauna are mainly birds. There are fewer mammals - about twenty species. Along with the rest, polar bears, walruses, sea hares, seals, and ermines are found in the reserve.

Ergaki Natural Park

It was founded in 2005. Its territory is divided into uneven sections: mountainous, flat, glacier-covered, with dense shoots, without signs of vegetation, and others. Some peaks got names, for example, Dragon Tooth or Parabola. One of the local attractions is the "hanging stone." It is worth looking for in the western part. The Ergaki includes Lakes Svetloye, Bolshoy Bezrybye and others.

Historical and Ethnographic Museum "Shushenskoye"

It was founded in 1930. An open-air complex is located on an area of ​​sixteen hectares. The main theme is the Russian village at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. A full-fledged settlement was recreated, with some of the houses being originals. Museum funds are extensive. The impressive area and exposition are not able to accommodate them. You can look around as part of the tour, or on your own. On the territory of "Shushensky" thematic events are held.

Shalobolin writings

Located on the right bank of the Tuba. This is a monument of cave painting. Some drawings are made by alder, others are embossed or scratched. Images have different ages, some dated to the very beginning of our era. The symbols on the rocks, as barely distinguishable and not quite legible, and incredibly clear, as if made recently. Interestingly, in some areas of the scribble there is a combination of styles and techniques.

Permafrost Museum

It was founded in 1965. The complex is located in the small town of Igarka. In the permafrost soil under the museum building is a dungeon, which is also part of the exhibition. In addition to descending into tunnels, where the temperature remains unchanged at −5 ° C, tourists are interested in other thematic exhibitions. One of them is devoted to repression, the other to the construction of a local railway, the third to the animal kingdom, and so on.

Paraskeva Chapel Friday

Built in the 50s of the XIX century on the site of the temple. Several times in its history has undergone reconstruction and repair of varying complexity. The details of the decoration and even the cross changed. Around already in the modern period, the territory was ennobled. A burial was discovered nearby - probably representatives of a noble family. The image of the chapel fell on a ten-ruble note, issued in 1997.

Holy Intercession Cathedral

It was founded in the 18th century. It is a monument of architecture. Built in the style of Siberian baroque. It was rebuilt many times, supplemented with details of decoration, or, on the contrary, lost the usual elements, the color of both the walls and the roof changed. During the last restoration in 2012, the appearance was returned to its original version. The current facility of the Orthodox Church. Belongs to the Krasnoyarsk diocese.

Cultural and historical center "Uspensky"

Opened in 2016. The complex is built to preserve traditional national cultural features. On its basis there are clubs and interest clubs. It was founded in 1957. The exposition is divided into three parts and is based in different buildings. There are also three departments: Russian art in two periods and decorative and applied art. The funds are vast and do not fit on display. The museum collection is the largest in our country beyond the Urals. The painter Surikov was awarded a personal museum. It is open in his old house and is dedicated to the life of a master. The estate has been preserved since 1930 and is maintained in good condition.

Museum Center "Peace Square"

Opened in 1987. It is used as a platform for exhibitions of contemporary art and not only. The museum arranges installations and launches projects dedicated to important events and dates. Funds are gradually gathering. Expositions often succeed one another. On the basis of the "Peace Square" there is an educational center. Inside installed modern equipment, large screens and more.

Communal bridge over the Yenisei

Built in 1961. An example of a Stalinist empire. His image was on a ten-ruble note, issued in 1997. The length is two thousand three hundred meters. Built across the Yenisei River. Connects two districts of the city of Krasnoyarsk. The road surface consists of six lanes. To increase cross-country ability, the tram tracks were dismantled.

Ob-Yenisei Canal

Built at the end of the 19th century. Also fell into the territory of the Tomsk region. It was navigable and connected the basins of two rivers. At the moment, the territory is sparsely populated, and the channel itself is not used for its intended purpose. He fails to become completely abandoned, since tourists and local lovers of rafting along the rivers live here constantly. The restoration of the channel in its previous form is not planned.

Tunguska Reserve

Opened in 1995. Twenty thousand hectares - a protected zone, an area ten times larger - the total area of ​​the reserve. The forest covers most of the area, another twenty percent is in the swamps. The living creatures are diverse and accustomed to survival in harsh conditions, to temperature changes. The fauna is represented by: brown bear, sable, squirrel, elk and other animals.

Taimyr Lake

Located on the peninsula of the same name. The northernmost natural lake of all the lakes on the planet. For almost half a year the lake is covered with ice crust. Around the tundra and selected permafrost. Life here is largely dictated by the time of year: the warmer, the more active everything around. This applies to the migration of animals even within the region (moving to areas where it is warmer).

Krasnoyarsk Museum of Local Lore

It was founded in 1889. The museum building is similar to an ancient Greek temple. Previously rebuilt. In 2013, he returned to his original appearance. The museum stores more than half a million exhibits. The collection includes art objects, archaeological finds, numismatic values, ancient documents and much more. Tours are conducted in several languages, their purpose is to convey the history of the region to tourists.

Annunciation Church

Built at the very beginning of the XIX century. It became the first church in Krasnoyarsk. Initially, another wooden church was simply transferred to this place. As soon as someone took patronage over the building, a new extension or an additional building appeared nearby. Already in the modern period, reconstruction was carried out, removing all unnecessary and transferring the diocese to use in its original form.

Bolshaya Oreshnaya Cave

The length is fifty eight thousand meters. The largest conglomerate in the world. Exploration of the cave began in 1964 and continues to this day. The temperature inside is always the same - +4 ° C. It is impossible to understand the intricacies of some tunnels without equipment and experience. Sometimes collapse occurs, new ways of communication are formed.

Putorana Plateau

On this territory is a reserve protected by UNESCO. Since the plateau is located on the border of the belts, you can meet animals and plants nearby, clearly preferring different climatic conditions and everything else. There can be a couple of steps from tundra to taiga. The picturesque Lama Lake is part of the plateau ecosystem. Lynx, capercaillie, bighorn sheep and other representatives of the fauna live nearby.

Birch-ant grove

Located near a village called Flat. The grove takes about three hundred meters. It is planted for the most part with birches, and there are many anthills nearby. Most are small, even inconspicuous, and some reach a height of two meters. The grove received the status of a natural monument twenty years ago. It is protected not only by the state, but also by local residents.

Tatyshev Island

It is located on the Yenisei River and is the largest. The island has become a place of leisure and active recreation for citizens and tourists. This green corner invites you to bike rides in the summer, and in winter it sweeps everything in snow and you can ski on numerous pistes. Flora and fauna are typical of the region. One of the entertainments coming here is to feed small wild animals or birds.

Biryusinsky caves

Biryusinsky caves is a whole cave complex located near the Biryusa river in the Krasnoyarsk region. It consists of 70 caves with amazingly beautiful flowing formations and a complex relief. The length of the corridors of the largest cave is 5 km, and a decrease in depth is 170 m.

Most of the grottoes, passages and manholes were discovered by hunters hunting in these places, and new cavers are digging out new ones. Almost every cave, descent or grotto has its own name and a beautiful discovery legend. The most visited caves include: Divnogorskaya, Lunnaya, Cuban, Geneva, Pearl, Rainbow, White, Crystal, Seven Wonders of the World, Royal Gate, etc. No less beautiful and interesting names at the slopes and grottoes: Magic Labyrinth, Saturn's Rings, Squeezer, Pit of Fools, etc.

Anashensky Bor

Anashenskiy Bor is a unique pine forest 18 km long and 5.85 hectares on the right bank of the Yenisei River in the Krasnoyarsk region. This place belongs to specially protected areas as a botanical monument of nature, formed in 1987 to preserve a unique forest.

Even after many years of studying this beautiful and unusual place, experts cannot give an answer why it is stretched from west to east precisely in the direction of the prevailing winds. Another inexplicable moment - mixed forests prevail in the region, and the forest consists of dark coniferous forests with beautiful slender and even pines.

Moreover, their root system is of surface type, and not anchor, although there are no rock formations under the ground that impede the growth of rod roots.

Museum-Reserve Shushenskoye

One of the most interesting places in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is the Shushenskoye Museum-Reserve - a unique historical and architectural open-air complex with an area of ​​7 hectares. The basis of the museum consists of samples and monuments of rural architecture of the late XIX - early XX centuries. - peasant estates, a village shop, a forge, a tavern, a volost government building with a prison - about 195 buildings are represented on the territory of Shushensky.

The living conditions of Siberians inhabiting these beautiful and picturesque places at the beginning of the last century are recreated in houses and estates, their main occupations and crafts are shown: animal husbandry and farming, hunting and fishing, cooperage and beekeeping, rolling of felt and weaving vines, weaving and beadwork and etc. And in the houses where V.I. Lenin during the years of Shushenskaya exile, a memorial situation is preserved.

The observation deck "King fish"

In the village of Ovsyanka, Krasnoyarsk Region, a unique and interesting cultural site is located - the Tsar-Fish observation deck on a steep cliff at an altitude of 300 m above the Yenisei. This site was created in the 70s. XX century as a memory of a local native - writer V.P. Astafiev.

In 2004, a metal monument to Tsar-fish - the Yenisei sturgeon 4 m high and weighing 300 kg. Was erected on the site, after which the site got its modern name. Additionally, in this place they plan to erect a watch tower according to the drawings of the XVII century.

Church of Paraskeva Fridays

On the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory there is a unique monument of wooden architecture, built in the 19th century. The Paraskeva Friday Church was built under the direction of architect Y.M. Nabalova from pine logs without the use of nails. Inside the church were oil icons of saints. Today, this attraction is in a dilapidated condition and needs restoration.

Reserve "Krasnoyarsk Pillars"

On the right bank of the Yenisei is the Krasnoyarsk Pillars Nature Reserve, which was founded on the initiative of local residents in 1925. On the territory of a natural attraction there are a large number of unique rocks, characterized by an elongated shape and bizarre outlines. Due to their special appearance, these rocks are called poles by the local population, each of which has its own original name. On the territory of the reserve there are also rare representatives of the plant and animal world. Many of them are listed in the Red Book.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory is the world famous village of Shushenskoye, where Vladimir Lenin lived in exile. On this territory today is an open-air museum-reserve of the same name. Here you can see the preserved Siberian village of the late 19th century, which has no analogues in the world. Guests of the Shushenskoye village can visit the homes of Siberian old-timers, get acquainted with spinning and weaving, as well as visit a pottery shop and a local tavern with Russian drinks.

Monument "King Fish"

In the city of Krasnoyarsk there is an original forged monument "Tsar-fish", which is dedicated to the anniversary of the writer Viktor Astafyev. This attraction was opened in 2004 and is the main symbol of the city. The monument looks like a sturgeon, which personifies the taming and development of nature.

Ski Park "Beaver Log"

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory there is a world famous ski park where you can relax and play sports all year round. This park has a modern infrastructure and a unique natural landscape. In winter, the park operates as a ski resort, and in summer extreme rides are open here, horseback riding and skiing on a chairlift are organized.

Monument "White Horse"

This attraction was opened in 2006 in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The monument is dedicated to Russian pioneers in Siberia. The horse sculpture is made of wrought iron according to ancient technology. Its height is 1.5 meters, and weight - 430 kg. In addition to the horse, granite boulders are included in the composition of the monument. On the three largest stones are the attributes of the Cossack and the image of the fountain in the form of a brook. Around the monument is built a platform for walking.

Flora and Fauna Park “Royev Ruchey”

On the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the largest zoos in Russia - "Roy Stream". Here you can see more than 700 species of representatives of the animal world, as well as 2700 species of herbaceous plants and trees. In addition, the largest water area in Russia is included in the zoo complex.
