Park history

The history of Yubileiny Park has an unusual beginning, since the park was founded in honor of the 950th anniversary of the birth of the city of Yaroslavl. The name of the park came from here. Since that time, the park has been greatly loved by the inhabitants of the city with its attractions, green alleys, verandas and an unusually beautiful fountain.

But with the beginning of the 90s, the park was abandoned and forgotten: broken carousels, an idle fountain, garbage. Although events and performances were held here, the people stopped aspiring here, and so the years passed. Everything changed in 2017, when the new city authorities decided to radically reconstruct the Yubileiny park and give it a new life. The attractions were updated, new playgrounds were installed, the fountain was repaired, a contact zoo and a dinosaur park were placed. In addition, they created an alley of colorful umbrellas and several cafes and a restaurant with gazebos were opened in the park.

The renewed park began to flourish and develop again, and residents and visitors of the city began to come to this wonderful place more often.
