Open air museum "Gorgippia"
In the Krasnodar Territory, today, in addition to Greater Sochi, there are several large resort areas with centers - in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Tuapse, since 2001 Taman has been added to them, which received the status of an All-Russian health resort due to the discovery of healing mud deposits in extinct and active mud volcanoes , at the bottom of salt lakes, estuaries. Applications and baths help in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous and cardiovascular systems, gynecology and others - this is how doctors will prescribe. And each resort area has its own wonders, its sights. reserved places. In this sense, Anapa will not be an exception - the All-Russian health resort for family and children's recreation and treatment.
Many of the tourists who visited the resort town are amazed to learn that he is neither more nor less than two and a half thousand years old. And vivid evidence of this is the open air museum "Gorgippia", in which guests come with interest and great pleasure. The excavation is the basement of the houses in which the ancient Greeks lived long ago, fragments of streets. Here you have amphoras, in which they stored grain, wine. The guides will tell you that once in this glorious city the slave trade flourished, its own coins were minted.
A crypt with frescoes of the ancient hero Hercules telling about his exploits was opened in the excavation. As you know, it was Hercules who freed from the chains of Prometheus. And Anapa insists that the rock to which he was chained is located in the area of her resort village Utrish. Here, along the coast, brave Greek heroes sailed on their Argo in search of the Golden Fleece. But in the Kuban there is another version regarding Prometheus. In Sochi, many claim that he was chained with strong chains to the Eagles (White) rocks along the right bank of the Agura River, two kilometers from Agursky Falls, and this legendary place is located in the Khostinsky district in the possession of the Matsesta forestry. Moreover, a monument to Prometheus appeared there.A mighty figure of an ancient Greek hero stands on a high rock with his hands released, on which are fragments of those very strong chains. And his proud, victorious gaze is fixed on the heavens to which he did not submit so much. The author of the monument is Alexander Kapralov, a sculptor from Omsk. Established in 1998. Both in Sochi and Anapa dispute the truth, where was Prometheus chained? But tourists visit both Eagle Rocks and Utrish thanks to an ancient legend. Circassian aul, Snake Lake, Anapa lighthouse, Batiskaf sea aquarium, Shugo volcano, Dolphinarium on Bolshoi Utrish with an open-air theater, where during the high season several times a day there are performances with the participation of marine animals, including the smartest and most dexterous dolphins, who at the end of the program quickly jump onto the platform and willingly take pictures or shoot on a television camera almost embracing the audience - all this is in Anapa. Like the historical monument "Russian Gate" or knightly tournaments in its resort village of Sukko, where, by the way, there is another attraction - three dozen swamp cypresses standing in the lake with the same name as the resort. Cypress trees do not rot, and long ago they were heroes. God de was angry that their tribe worshiped paganism, sent a flood, and the warriors became breastfeeding in his way to save their homes from the elements. Selflessness and courage struck heaven so much that God the Thunderer stopped the flood and turned the heroes into slender cypresses, and stand by them here forever and ever!
City of the White Bride
The resort cities of the Russian Black Sea region constantly compete with each other, which in general is only good for them. The Anapa, Sochi, and Gelendzhik excel in the annual regional competition "Resort Olympus" with varying success. And this adds to them new and new attractions, which over time become very popular with tourists. This happened with the graceful and graceful monument on the Central Embankment "White Bride". He appeared here at the end of May 2010. Not by chance. After all, the very name Gelendzhik is translated from Turkish exactly as the White Bride. And this is due to ancient times, when overseas guests specially sailed to the local bay for slaves - white women. This was also written by our world-famous Ivan Alekseevich Bunin, who visited the delightful shores of the Gelendzhik Bay. After the appearance of the monument, sponsored by St. Petersburger Andrei Polyakov and his fellow sculptor, a resident of the resort, Evgeny Sokolov, Evgeny, tourists come and go in an endless stream, and already couples of brides and grooms consider it obligatory for themselves to please an elegant white marble sculpture with bouquets of flowers. The white bride can now be considered a visiting card of the resort, its feature, its main attraction! It is also clearly visible from the observation deck of the Olympus Sports and Entertainment Park on top of the Markotkh Range, which protects Gelendzhik from the evil northern winds and creates a subtropical microclimate at its foot. You can climb to the top both on foot and on a chairlift length of one thousand six hundred meters and at a height of four hundred meters with a hook. And in the park you will be simply amazed by the abundance of attractions, starting from a rag tree, on which tourists tie shreds of any color, as a hope for a new trip here, continuing with the Bear Cave and a fabulous forest, in which there are many life-size figures from Russian fairy tales - and Baba -Yaga on the mortar, and the Mermaid in the branches of a tree, and the scientist Cat, and the monster from the "Scarlet Flower" - there’s no reason to list everyone, it’s better, as they say, to see!
And Safari Park is a kind of miracle of nature and human hands! On an excursion here specially come from Novorossiysk, and from Anapa, and from Sochi - from a variety of resort places. Above the park is another chairlift. From its height, it is curious to observe the life of wild animals living on the slopes of the ridge in natural conditions - lions, monkeys, wild boars, wolves, artiodactyls and others, among others.
There are many attractive places in Gelendzhik and its environs: the oceanarium, water parks "Behemoth", "Golden Bay," and "Dolphin", the local history museum, "Kastalskaya Kupel", "Old Park", Pshad and Plesetsk waterfalls, the museum complex "Mikhailovsky fortification ", Theater of marine animals, rock" Sail "and the bay" Blue Abyss ", the chapel of Sergei Radonezh and the House-Museum of the Russian writer V.G. Korolenko - listing them will take a lot of attention! In the city of the White Bride there is where to relax, what to look at and capture for memory with a camera or a television camera, so that upon returning to your native penates to demonstrate episodes of your trip to family, friends or relatives!
